Benefits of Xylitol for Teeth
Xylitol is a natural sweetener. Xylitol pastilles are classified under customs code 1704 90 81 and, within the EU, are considered confectionery. They are produced through compression and contain no coating.
Xylitol is a natural sweetener known for its oral health benefits. Its dental effects were clinically proven in Finland as early as the 1970s. Xylitol helps protect tooth enamel and reduces the risk of cavities.
Xylitol is especially beneficial for children’s teeth, but its use is also recommended for adults.
The recommended daily intake of xylitol is 5 grams. To reach this amount and ensure optimal effectiveness, 6–10 full-xylitol mints should be consumed each day - 2 mitns after every meal.
Xylitol is backed by extensive international research and officially recognised by the EU for its dental health benefits. It helps prevent cavities by slowing down the growth of harmful bacteria in the mouth.
